SQL Saturday 58 Minnesota – Friday, Oct 29

Posted by denglishbi on October 4, 2010

We are on the home stretch now and less than four weeks out from the big event.  On Friday, October 29 we will be having our first ever SQL Saturday event here in Minnesota.  This is the second time we have setup an all-day free event, last year we had our PASSMN SQL Summit where we had just over 100 people in attendance.  We currently have over 180 people registered this year and anticipating at least 200 people in attendance, but hoping for 250.  We know that we have a strong SQL Server community here in the Minneapolis area and are expecting a super event.  We have a bunch of supporters that have stepped up to help ensure it will be a fantastic event.

Did I mention that this is an all-day free event?  Not only is it free but we will have local community experts speaking like Tim Plas, Jason Strate, Brian Larson, Mark Vaillancourt, Steve Hughes, Mike Benkovich, David Baldauff, etc. (sorry, lots of names, don’t mean to intentionally leave anyone out) along with national speakers like Kevin Kline, Brian Knight, and William Pearson.  There are more speakers and we are making sure that everyone that submitted gets a spot to speaker.  For the complete line-up check out the schedule on the site – http://sqlsaturday.com/58/schedule.aspx.

If you haven’t registered for the event do so now or if you know someone that might be interested pass the information on.

Date: Friday, October 29, 2010 Time: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (registration starting at 7:30)
Location: Mystic Lake Casino Hotel, Prior Lake, MN
Cost: FREE!
Schedule: http://sqlsaturday.com/58/schedule.aspx
Registration: http://sqlsaturday.com/58/register.aspx
Event site: http://sqlsaturday.com/58/eventhome.aspx

A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided as well.  We are also looking into an after party event, so stay tuned.  If you want to follow any announcements or chat about this event you can do so on Twitter with the handle #sqlsat58

Hope to see you there!
